That over, there’s only one race on everyone’s mind this weekend.

It is , of course, the Spenny Byfield Services 50th Kubota Mini-Excavator Novices Hurdle which kicks the card off at Chepstow tomorrow.

That…and the Grand National of course.

Nothing like a 40 runners, 4 mile Handicap Chase to make us money!  I have written about following past trends last week and that’s a great starting point, but this eletter I will try and pick some runners based solely on what’s available to us at www.racingpost.com in the form of the race card, Spotlight comments, and stats.

So here goes ( I do prefer my Gran’s pin in the race card method)…

Distance winners. Potters Corner at 20/1 starts things off. You’ll see the D next to his name on the race card .

Anibale Fly grabs the attention , 4th and 5th in 2018 and 2019, so says ‘Comments’. At 25/1 the market gives this one a shout.

Bristol De Mai, at 25/1 is ‘top class’ and the ‘toast of Haydock’

Kimberlite Candy was ‘2nd in two Bechers here’ so experience and 10/1 is the shortest selection so far.

Taking Risks ‘won Scottish National ( 4 m)’ 2 years ago and at 25/1 another reasonably priced.

Vieux Lion Rouge keeps completing over Aintree fences so could complete again and at 50/1 might nick a place

Robbie Power and Mrs John Harrington have both been punters’ pals in the last 14 days so Magic Of Light at 16/1 gets the shortlist.

So it’s as simple as that!

I am going to back these 7 horses each-way in the hope of the win, of course, but also a place or two. I will also be using Betfair SP as Betfair SP outperforms Industry SP , particularly at the better prices.

I have a betting bank of I million…Zimbabwean dollars, so the bookies won’t be quaking quite as much as JP McManus’s wagers.

Good luck with your selections. If you want to ignore all that and go with the Cheltenham Queen, Rachel Blackmore, she rides Minella Times at a poor 9/1.

And before I go….

You may have received an email invitation mid week to view a seminar on Crypto. Here’s a screenshot of my initial ‘toe dipping; into the World of Crypto. So far, so good.

I am looking forward to learning a bit more about crypto  from the Crypto Traders Academy (CTA). My investments so far have been in the established such as Bitcoin, Ethereum , Ripple, although I am now looking at the ones the CTA are trying to uncover to replicate the rises of Bitcoin.
