It’s April which means it’s Grand National month!

Yes, folks, the Grand National is being run….in virtual form. In fact, the Grand National in virtual form has already run its race as one insider suggested

‘”As the Virtual Grand National show is pre-recorded, we insist on strict levels of confidentiality from everyone involved in the production process,”’

I have tried to infiltrate the production team but to no avail.

The runners and riders for the Virtual Grand National can be found here at https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/32/aintree/2020-04-04/748645/  All bookie profits will go to charity, which is nice of them.

I have virtually no clue as to the winner of the Virtual Grand National . Will Tiger Roll win again under a virtual Davy Russell who, if as good as the real Davy Russell, will give the Roll a stellar ride?

A list of the odds can be found here at https://www.racingpost.com/news/virtual-grand-national/virtual-grand-national-2020-the-full-list-of-the-40-runners-riders-and-odds/430637

I wish the Virtual Davy Russell the best of luck in getting the hatrick. As this is the virtual world, I wonder if they’ll allow a Virtual Tony McCoy to have a punt at riding the National, although he will put some some virtual over-weight I am sure.

You can also find a sweepstake kit at the Racing Post.

Wishing you all well for another week. Enjoy the Virtual National. It’s on at the same time as the real National would have been scheduled, at 17:15
