There are a couple of really interesting angles.
The first is the weight rank. Top weight is weight ranked 1.
Backing weight ranked 5th hurdle favourites made 196 points profit to level stakes and Betfair SP.
Laying hurdles favourites 8-14 days since they last ran, turned a 164 points profit to level stakes.
These profit figures can be maximised by looking away from level stakes .
I’ll look at chase favourites next Friday. I have already passed onto you the National Hunt Flat Race ( a.k.a. Bumpers) angles – backing 3rd favourites in these races has made exceptional profits last 10 years.
