I mentioned a few websites last week in the eletter for you to check out and use this new football season.

Mother Russia begins her league. Austria begins its Bundesliga this weekend, the Romanians are with us ( Hooray!), as are the Croats ( get a haircut Modric!), the German and French 2nd tiers kick off this weekend, and the Belgian top flight too ( love their wheat beers more than their football).

It’s all giving you a gentle poke to remind you that the Elite leagues will be with us soon.

And there’s one website I mentioned last week that should be your primary focus. Quite simply, its stats fit perfectly with the betting markets on offer.

It is, drum roll please, www.kellybrook.com .

No sorry, that’s a different eletter. It is, drumroll again, www.soccerstats.com

Here’s a quick guide to this website. It has stats to fit all betting markets.

At the home page, choose your flag to choose your league. As the main leagues are not yet with us, I’ll choose the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Click on its flag

Scroll down to matches and choose one match to check out by clicking stats

On the page which pops up you’ll get some specialist stats from contextual averages ( more on these in a minute) to corners stats, and a wealth of goal stats.

The corner stats are not something I usually associate with soccerstats.com. I know one or two punters love to specialise in the corners.

The contextual averages, though, can help you with over/under 2.5 goals betting.

I draw your attention to the Avg Total Goals ( GF + GA) column. This provides us with the average goals for the home team at home and the away team away.

2.34 for this particular match suggests the match is on the cusp of over 2.5 goals but stoutly remains under 2.5 goals. 2.34 being under 2.5

Not a match I would consider for an over/under 2.5 goals bet.

You might want to trial these contextual averages ( 3rd line down) and see how accurate they are in predicting less than, or more than, 3 goals in a match.

Let’s scroll up to the real meat and bones of the website. In the first table , there is a link called ‘ View stats and matches for both teams’

Click it.

It is here you’ll unwrap all of the stats you need for the markets you want to focus on, from

  • Halftime markets
  • Goals markets
  • More 2.5 goals stats
  • The goalscorers ( imagine if the leading goalscorer was absent -(  you can check the lineups at flashscore.com I mentioned last week) -that will impact potentially on the team
  • Current streaks – Malmo for instance scoring 2+ goals in their last 6 matches catches the eye!
  • Halftime scores – why not specialise in niche markets like these?
  • A challenge table to show you how teams perform against other teams in certain sections of the league.
  • Goal times
  • And much more!

Get to know this website. It will serve you well. It will come to life, in the English leagues, about October time when we have a good number of matches played, but will serve you well. And it’s completely free!

Enjoy the new football season, and make money with www.kellybrook.com,. sorry www.soccerstats.com
