Poor old QPR, score 2 and still lose. It is a really tough night tonight with the Champions League first leg fixtures where away goals play a part. Remember this is the first half effectively so it is in the 2nd leg that we’ll have our “angle in”.

A 0-0 in the PSG game for any length of time could be layed. With the firepower on the pitch, there should be at least a goal.

bayern have had a wonderful season. Are they just a step above the rest of Europe at the moment? Again, if 0-0 in this match, that would be such an anomoly that it could be layed. Looking at Bayern’s 9 against hamburg, Pizzaro and Robben got the majority of the goals, so perhaps Pizarro to score ( he must be buzzing after 4 in one match) to get on the scoresheet could be value.

Will Juve turn up in ultra defensive Italian mode?

530pm – Molde v Lillestrom – 1.52 home  – 2nd match of the new Norwegian season and it is pointless me researching this match as there are no patterns yet. Molde have lost their first match, Lillestrom got a 2-2 draw.

745pm – B Munich v Juventus – 1,65 home – only 1 defeat in 31 for Bayern was against Arsenal after already nailing the first leg. So it was a convenient defeat, losing by just enough to secure their spot here.  18 wins in the other last 19 matches.

Majority of wins at home tend to be by 2+ goals.

bayern just scored 9 at home against Hamburg. A whopper! Only 1 draw in last 22 in CL at home. Have lost twice v Inter milan at home but have beaten Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina, so reasonable home CL form against Italians.

juve have won their last 4 matches, including wins v Celtic and Inter.

DDWW for Juve in the CL away from home. 2 consecutive clean sheets away v Shaktar and Celtic. bayern a step up.

Tough to call of course. Home team require a clean sheet and a win, away side want an away goal and at least a 1 goal defeat only to put them in the driving seat for their home leg.

You wouldn’t put it past Bayern scoring again. Watch out for Juve with their 2 consecutive away clean sheets. Naturally no real angles in these matches. IT’s in the 2nd leg where we’ll find a real angle in based on today’s score.

745pm – Paris St-G v Barcelona – 1.78 away – as above, so below. Home side want to avoid conceding an away goal ( good luck there) and away side want that away goal to take into the home tie.

The script is written for an old boy, Ibra , to upset the odds?

PSG’s last 2 defeats were away. WWWWDWWWWWDWW at home recently but me nothing of the calibre of Barcelona .

WWWWWD in CL of late. THe draw again only a draw of convenience against Valencia in 2nd leg after getting 2 away goals in the first leg.

So decent enough form. Barca are 1-1 at home and 0-1 win away against Valencia so that PSG 2 away goals is good in context ( although we must account for changing CL tactics of course in one off matches where away goals count). PSG have conceded 1 goal in 3 of last 4 home CL matches.

2-2 for Barca away to Celta perhaps had this match in mind?

Barca are vulnerable away from home.DDWLLD in recent aways in all matches. Barca have conceded in their last 10 aways in all competitions.

Celtic and Milan both beat Barca at home 2-1 and 2-0. PSG of course would love a win to nil.

Barca at home are imperious though. 2-0 loss away to Milan. 4-0 win at home to secure the match.

Again this is the first half of the match tonight and I don’t think barca will sweat on a repeat of the Milan defeat because they will do the business at home. PSG will be fully aware of this and want to keep a tight ship.

Another match where we cannot really get an angle in given the context of the match and the activation of the away goal rule.

Good luck if you’re having a play. Very tricky matches to decipher tonight.
