Football King Review

About Football King:

Football King from Pro Betting Club is a football tipster who lays selected football favourites.

Football King lays these selected favourites to a specific staking plan  – a loss retrieval staking plan – whereby he looks to win back any losses in the next bet.  8 consecutive months profit, 121.28 points profit for the life of the service is very appealing….on the surface.  The strike rate over time is a claimed 35% with a return on investment of 24%.

My 6 Month Review:

From November 2020 to April 2021, the service made 101.5 points profit.

On the surface this ticks all of the boxes. Sign me up! Well, before you jump on in with both feet, let’s look at that staking plan again.

This is a football Laying system but with one proviso that you should be aware of.

It employs Lay Progressive Staking.

GULP!

I know Lay Progressive Staking from my Betting Bot chronicles adventures.

When you see eight consecutive months of recorded profits, but you know that Lay Progressive Staking is employed, there will, I promise you, come a month when all of this recorded profit will be wiped out by an inevitable anomalous losing run.

It may not happen for a few months, but it will happen. And to record results to £100 level stakes is frankly highly misleading in every way. You do not ever use £100 stakes for loss retrieval on the Lay side. Liabilities will rise even with a small losing sequence with such a reckless stake.

With a longest losing run of 10 in February 2021, you’d have had to have blind faith that this run would be nipped in the bud.

During this February run, the initial lost liability on the first bet was £46. When it came to the 11th bet, the liability was £1,969 and that is, remember, to win 1 point! Bet 12… £8,650!!!

Here are the actual recorded results.

What you see in red is the progressive loss amounts. These are accumulated losses i.e. £46+£34+£125+£320+£179+£537+£739+£1654+£950+£1506+£1969.

£8,217.50 was won when West Brom drew 1-1 with Man Utd. Yes, Football King ended the sequence but, just for the sake or argument, what if Man Utd would have won that match?

Let me take you back to the monthly profit for February: +17.24 points. Now you know the background story to this profit, would you have, in all seriousness, risked nearly £9K to win £100?

No? Me neither.

I have seen these Progressive Staking services come and, pretty much all of them, go! The anomalous run comes along, and all previous profits disappear along with the service.

Your lesson? 8 consecutive months of profit looks great on paper, but the staking plan is impractical in real life and over the long term.

At £39.50 per month, this is not for me. Loss retrieval on the Lay side is worse than loss retrieval on the Back side because you are accumulating lost liabilities, rather than lost stakes.

Overall Summary:

With Loss Retrieval services such as this one, the longest losing run is the key piece of information. February’s longest losing run of 10 is well advertised above.  There were 2 losing sequences of 7 in the months of January 2021 and April 2021.

The service is profiting but long losing sequences will occur. Ask yourself, what if the sequence runs to 11 or higher? Are you going to see it out? Because of the risks involved I would give this a neutral rating.

Neutral because it is profiting but it would be remiss of me to recommend you a lay progressive staking plan service.

WRWM Verdict:

NEUTRAL
