Chilly Filly placed – would you prefer a 1.09 win or a 1.43 loss? That’s place only betting’s advantage especially in unfavourable ground
Yes odds are crap but the run extends

BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Benbaun, 7/2 Galeota, 4/1 Moorhouse Lad, 9/2 Desert Lord, 10/1 Turn On The Style, 12/1 Loch Verdi, 25/1 Biniou,  Princess Ellis, 66/1 Hypnosis.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This ground is going to be slower than ideal for many of these but should not pose any problems for last year’s winner GALEOTA and he may be able to enhance his fine record on this trac

Class 1 race -good tosoft ground (threatening to be soft?) and 5 furlongs – I keep saying that all horses in these class races are quality animals

Looks a 4 horse race

BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Bonnie Charlie, 4/1 Faraway Flower, 6/1 Fitz Flyer, 7/1 Parisian Art, 8/1 Caranbola, 20/1 Invincible Heart, 33/1 Tagula Breeze.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: No doubt Faraway Flower was unfortunate not to get much closer at Goodwood last time, but she has work to do to cope with the Molecomb runner-up BONNIE CHARLIE on these terms.[

Another price gapper here but a 7 runner race

BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Leamington Lad,  William Butler, 4/1 Predictive,  Robert The Brave, 10/1 New York Minute, 20/1 Pay Up John, 33/1 Royal China, 50/1 Converti,  Diktatorship,  Lady Samantha, 100/1 Glenisland,  Jack London,  King Rocky.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WILLIAM BUTLER is a very different proposition these days to when last sighted over hurdles and this could be five out of seven for Evan Williams. Predictive, who may handle the ground better than Leamington Lad and Robert The Brave, is feared most

Not a price gapper race but interesting from a palce only perspective with 5 horses priced to be involved.
Problem – good to soft ground which may turn soft

BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Loom, 6/1 Jim Bobs Girl, 7/1 My Skipper, 10/1 Yoursomethinelse, 12/1 Michaels Dream, 14/1 Fourpointone,  Wizards Dust, 20/1 Liverpool Echo,  Lowe Go,  Phone In,  Willies Way, 33/1 Low Delta,  So Extreme.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This is quite competitive but the unpenalised LOOM (nap) looked several steps ahead of the handicapper at Sedgefield last week and he did have form on deep ground as a younger horse in Germany. My Skipper is next best.[
Big price gap BUT 3 miler and last race of the day on a course whose ground might be even softer than at the beginning. That said, I do like the fact the horse is ahead of the handicapper.

Chance on Loom today BUT I will pay attention to ground conditions – place only.
Others to consider for me -fav in the 225 Uttoxeter to place
