Well the day didn’t start too dandy with Ouzbeck winning by, erm 17 lengths, not helped by the fav falling and a significant fav backed from 3/1 into 15/8 and surely would have provided enough rivalry – but that’s jmps racing. Heezarri won,
HE’s a humbug was a non runner and CHarles DArwin won – did you spot the 16/1 system bet – went off at 4/1! – hardly the 12/1 I quoted at time of writing

Special REserve was definitely a market mover and lost out by a short head -bt each way backers would have returned their stakes.
Nice return at Newmarket with FOndled winning and Ace of hearts 2nd at 11/1
Missile dodger was a huge disappointment as were the Aiden O’Brien horses yesterday. Preference for me with each way prices for these horses as we’re relying on shock results as happened mid week (even if finishing 2nd, still the place only payout was significant given it was only 2 the place, and the horses were perceived outsiders)

As to the footy, well couldn’t believe it. BArca let one in and I thought here we go, a bunch of overpayed stars can’t be arsed. But I was wrong and they spanked Murcia making the 4/7 a HUGE price retrospectively

The half time/full time dutches came in, albeit with smallish returns. Rangers/Draw I didn;t have – I had Draw/Rangers – d’oh!   FA CUP – unders easily achieved

It’s a pity I missed 2 later bets in Lyon who had to win (and did!) and Big Brown – the monster horse who at 1.26 was buying money in the 1115pm Preakness stakes – what a horse! I know there’s no such thing as a good thing but what chance the Triple Crown for this machine? Worth investment despite the difficulty of the feat!

BETTING FORECAST: 8/11 Pochard, 4/1 Great Grimsby, 5/1 Supreme Team, 14/1 Felix Rex, 20/1 Purr, 25/1 Tickers Way, 33/1 Aviemore,  Lucky Pearl, 50/1 Homeleighwildchild

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: POCHARD is no certainty following a hike up the weights but this faster ground is evidently the key to her and she’s the one with momentum. Great Grimsby and Supreme Team are the dangers.

Supreme Team the obvious each way horse here with a slight question mark over the jolly

BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Cnoc Moy, 9/2 Ibris, 5/1 Russian Flag, 6/1 Chaninbar, 33/1 Bramcote Lorne, 50/1 Bedouin Blue, 100/1 Joe Rich

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Russian Flag and Ibris are potentially interesting but CNOC MOY (nap) sets a formidable standard through his Ascot run and there’s very little temptation to take on Oliver Sherwood’s youngster.

Potential price gapper /HTB selection  “there’s very little temptation to take on Oliver Sherwood’s youngster”   – “hard to beat”

Price gap remains in the live market – top RPR – top topspeed – 8/9 tips – postdata selection –

Observation Post and Customary Chorus ,hopefully both each way

315 – Turk Lord for Weld/Smullen

345 – Bravely Fought a perceived outsider

415 – Love Brothers has Pat Smullen in the saddle. 2nd fav at 6/1 indicates this is an open race

445 – Whispering Wind for Pat Smullen

Again we can’t expect all of the above to perform but the hope is to catch a surprise performer

Real play LEvante tonight – what chance they put on a show? 1/7 at home indicates goals and perhaps over 3.5 goals is worth investing with an eye on trading.
