apologies if some research was missing yesterday. Believe me I spent hours on it, but it didn’t save.

Some good calls yesterday particularly concerning 0-0 back to lay trades. How long to stay in? as long as you can is the flippant answer! Faroes match was great for it. 0-0 at half time. San marino v Moldova was great. 0-0 at half time.  The 2 1.10 shots yesterday really disappointed. Russia 1-0 84th minute penalty and Portugal 1-1 after going behind. With the latter match, a look at the weather would have shown Northern Ireland relishing conditions, and poor Ronny and co. worried that their hairstyles might get mucked up by the rain.

Spain kept up their record of scoring in the first half, but france equalised later on.

For the brave this one. Iraq go 1-0 up against australia in the match the Aussies must win. And they turn it around with 2 80th minute+ goals. This is how the speculative create value , taking a chance on teams needing a win, to actually get the win.

And Germany have now conceded 4 goals in 3 of their last 4 matches! coincidence?

4pm – Poland v England – 2.08 away. See yesterday’s research for this replay . Will the weather have subsided so much that the rain will not affect the playing surface and thus any passing game?  England away are solid in this competitions. Poland, though, at home are no mugs but have lost to England twice over the years. 2.08 sees a slight rise in odds over yesterday ( from memory). I cannot see England losing this one, but would insist on seeing the conditions before playing a bet.

745pm – Notts Co v Sheff Utd – 2.44 home

5th v 3rd after 12 matches. These top 5 clashes can be tough to predict.

Only 1 point seperates these 2 so it’s tight.

Although only 1 points separates these 2, it is the Blades who are actually unbeaten. The culprit ? 7 draws , losing 14 potential points! 6 of these 7 draws were 1-1 . 2 of 3 1-1 away draws saw the opponents score first.

The Blades have won their last 3 matches 0-1,1-2,  0-1 so have arguably tightened the defence to end the 1-1’s

The Blades are yet to play any of the top 11 away from home, so tough to suggest how they will fare against the better sides.

Notts County have lost 3 matches all season, all at home, and against 1st, 2nd , and 11th ( 0-1, 1-2, 0-1). So having lost marginally against top 2, they play 3rd tonight.

County’s last 2 home matches coincidentally were against 1st and 2nd in the league. Now playing 3rd in the league.

It looks like a 1-0, 2-1, 1-1 type of match, in favour of the away side, with County struggling against top 2 at home and playing 3rd today.

A chance therefore on 0-1, 1-2, 1-1 as a potential scoreline . Not a match to place maximum faith in. Blades not played top 11 away, and County looking to end a 2 match home losing streak.
