Well the Scottish Premier League began yesterday with a 1-0 win for Celtic and those who kept faith could have backed 1.25 shots Celtic at much higher odds in running as they had trouble breaking down Aberdeen. I’ll not be researching any Scottish or German lower league football today, let’s wait to see how they fare in early matches.

Brazil were the highlight for traders, consenting to concede first v Honduras and backable , for 1.16 shots, at a massive 1.91 and bigger. A superb trade. In fact, the Honduras sending off brought the odds down to 1.49. I got out there but could have nailed a £273 profit instead of £80 green screen but I was trading not betting and got out at the earliest occasion.

130pm – NEC Nijmegen v Blackburn – 2.4 both teams in an illiquid market – Chelsea showed yesterday the perils of backing in friendlies, although they scored first for traders. Last 7 draws at home for NEC in all competitions have been score draws. Do we therefore back over 2.5 goals in the expectation of both teams scoring? The odds suggest a tight match?
No pre season yet for NEC.
10 defeats and a sole win in last 11 matches for Blackpool. Pre season has seen Blackburn lose 1-0 to Accrington, and 4-2 away to another dutch side Go ahead eagles. Does this latter match offer another angle in? Over 2.5 or even over 3.5 goals.

230pm – Schalke v Udinese – 2.56 home – No draw in the last 8 for Udinese in all competitions.WLL in pre season for Udinese. Only 1 draw in last 11 for Udinese in friendlies.
No draw in last 7 for Schalke. Both teams tend to avoid draws. Is this an angle in?
Only 1 draw in last 19 friendlies for Schalke.
Do we lay the draw ? It seems the obvious angle in to this friendly? The odds though suggest both sides cannot be split.

3pm – Blackpool v Everton – 1.88 away – can Blackpool ressurect their over 2.5 goals home record from their Premiership days? No friendlies yet pre season for Blackpool so tough to gauge them. Only 1 in in last 6 for Blackpool could make them vulnerable?
3 defeats in last 17 friendlies for Everton were 1-0’s. 1-4 win v Morecambe, 1-0 win v Dundee United and 1-1 draw v Motherwell for Everton pre season. You suspect as the season proper gets nearer, so Everton will field a first team .
Tough to call as we cannot get an angle in Blackpool who have been holidaying.

3pm – Valerenga v Man Utd – 1.44 away – same price as Chelsea yesterday who lost 3-1 to Brighton. But a look at United’s form in friendlies shows you Sir Red of Nose, in his brand new Chevrolet, wants to keep the winning mentality in tact. Both teams have scored in Val’s last 5 matches in all competition. Val have not won in their last 5 home matches DLDLD.
3 draws in last 4 friendlies includes 3-3 v Liverpool last year.

1-0, 1-0, 1-1, 1-0 for United last 4 matches, last 3 were friendlies. Just doing enough in friendlies which might jeopardise the 1.44 back? Perhaps layable with 1-0 scorelines?
from a sequential perspective, United will break this 1 goal pattern soon.

6 wins and a draw in last 7 friendlies for United.

345pm – Hamburg v B Munich – bayern played Werder Bremen yesterday so team news is required here. I suspect yesterday’s side was the 1st team as they were playing at home. A match to leave alone today with imponderables as regards team news.

4pm – Anzhi Makhachkala v Amkar – 1.49 home – Anzhi have some world class players in the squad including Eto’o. Anzhi have scored 2 minimum in 9 of their last 11 matches in all competitions.Eto’o has not scored in the last 2 matches – perhaps speculate on someone of this quality scoring eventually, and today?
Anzhi have scored 2 minimum in 6 of last 7 Premier League matches and scored 2 minimum in 12 of last 15 matches in the league at home. Anzhi have conceded in last 5 league matches at home. Expect over 2.5 goals here if we assume Anzhi will score 2 again?
Amkar have conceded in last 7 matches in all competitions and last 5 in the league.
LDLL in last 4 aways in the league.
It is on soccerstats.com so I think I’ll include the Russian league as form is produced.

4pm – Sparta Prague v Pribram – 1.27 home – have Sparta had trouble upfront? 1-1-1-3-1 scored in last 5 league matches, 3 wins and a 1-1 draw.
1-0, 1-0, 3-0 last 3 home league matches. BUT this seems to be the first match of a new season today.
Only 2 wins in last 15 in the league forPribram includes, intriguingly, a 0-2 away win v Sparta in April 2012.
6 match losing streak. Have failed to score in 4 of last 5.Have conceded 3-4-2-2-2-5-4-4 recently.
If we expect Sparta to score 4+, then their odds would have reflected that ( i.e. be sub 1.20) .
Both teams have played only 1 match this new season it would seem, draw for Sparta and loss for Pribram.
Possible win to nil for Sparta might be a value play, but what’s the story behind that 0-2 win for Pribram last time these 2 met?

5pm – Ajax v PSV – 2.26 home – super cup match so not worth researching for me. Head to heads may offer some angle? 2-2 and 2-0 to Ajax last 2 head to heads.PSV not been in supercup since 2008. 4 matches in Supercup LLLW.
No draw in 6 supercups for Ajax and they have lost the last 2 Super cups v Twente. Is this a sequence that Ajax can end?

545pm – Dortmund v W Bremen – again W Bremen played yesterday so team will be questionable. Dortmund won 1-0 yesterday in a friendly so this could be a friendly of team extras.

7pm – Limerick v Man City – 1.17 away – Man City played yesterday and won a friendly. This is likely to be another shuffled pack and Irish football is of such a poor quality that any City side should oblige. City beat Wolfsburg 0-2 last night in Germany so they will not be fielding the well known first team you would suspect. A degree of caution therefore but strength in depth should ensure victory?

4am – Real Madrid v Santos Laguna – 1.26 home – still scoring a sh*t load in friendlies, most recent victims were LA Galaxy, we can hope goals are on the menu early am.
