SUNDAY 31st MARCH 2013
1130am – Roda JC v PSV – 1.43 away
HEAD TO HEADS
18.08.2012 | D1 | PSV Eindhoven | 5-0 | Roda Kerkrade
29.04.2012 | D1 | Roda Kerkrade | 1-3 | PSV Eindhoven
24.09.2011 | D1 | PSV Eindhoven | 7-1 | Roda Kerkrade
22.12.2010 | Cup | Roda Kerkrade | 1-3 | PSV Eindhoven
19.12.2010 | D1 | PSV Eindhoven | 3-1 | Roda Kerkrade
19.09.2010 | D1 | Roda Kerkrade | 0-0 | PSV Eindhoven |
3 minimum is the norm for PSV in head to heads.
LEAGUE POSITION – 16th v 2nd – incentive for PSV to win to go top.
HOME TEAM – -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team – Roda
RECENT HOME FORM – DWLWDDLDWDDWL – Only 4 wins at home , 2 of which came v bottom 2. 3 of 4 wins at home were to nil. Will they really keep PSV from scoring? Lost at home to 1st, 3rd and 6th. The latter 2 were 0-1. Quite tight v top teams .
RECENT FORM OVERALL – DDWWDDDDLWLL – 3 defeats in last 4. 5 of last 6 draws were score draws. Have not beaten any of the top 8 home or away
GOAL TRENDS – 46% overs at home. Score first in 7/13 at home.
STREAKS – have conceded last 4 at home and last 8 overall.
AWAY TEAM – past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team – PSV – go top with a win
RECENT AWAY FORM – LWLWWWLDWWDLL – recent defeats v 3rd and 7th were 2-1. Will PSV really lose 3 aways on the trot ( a la Chelski yesterday?) PSV did lose 3-2 to 4th bottom and are playing 3rd bottom today. They beat 2nd bottom 0-6. There’s goals in them there hills for an on song PSV. PSV have failed to score in only 1 away match this season.
RECENT OVERALL FORM – WDWLWWDWLWLW – PSV have failed to score in only 1 match all season. PSV have conceded in last 9 aways. 5-2-2-5-2-2-6-3 SCORED home and away v bottom 5. Very consistent
GOAL TRENDS – 85% overs away and overall this season. Average 2.77 scored. 17 goals scored in last 1/2 hour of matches. 68% of away goals cocneded 2nd half.
STREAKS – Have scored in last 10 away and last 22 overall. Have conceded in last 9 away.
CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS – PSV ususally get 3 minimum in head to heads and fluctuate between 2 and 5/6 v bottom 5 home and away. Likely to get 2 minimum today therefore. PSV have scored and conceded in last 9 aways so we could see over 4.5 goals as an opening trading gambit if Roda score a goal and PSV get their 2 minimum. Watch out late, 17 goals scored last 1/2 hour. 3/4 of Roda’s home wins were 2 nil. Unlikely to keep PSV out? 2 consecutive defeats away for PSV must end – incentivised by this and the fact they will go top with a win. Roda are quite tight v top sides, but will PSV’s goals v bottom sides ensure an end to that?
1245pm – St Mirren v Celtic – 1.5 away
HEAD TO HEADS
02.03.2013 | Cup | St. Mirren | 1-2 | Celtic FC
27.01.2013 | LC | St. Mirren | 3-2 | Celtic FC
15.12.2012 | PR | Celtic FC | 2-0 | St. Mirren
20.10.2012 | PR | St. Mirren | 0-5 | Celtic FC
21.01.2012 | PR | St. Mirren | 0-2 | Celtic FC
26.11.2011 | PR | Celtic FC | 5-0 | St. Mirren |
THere should be no fear for St Mirren who ended their curse of not scoring v Celtic with 4 goals in 2 now.
LEAGUE POSITION – 11th v 1st
HOME TEAM – -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team – St Mirren
RECENT HOME FORM – DLWWLLLWDWDLWLWD – inconsistent to say the least, unable to string together consecutive wins. 1-1-1-1-4-1-1-0-0 conceded at home. That 4 looks anomolous.
RECENT FORM OVERALL – LWDWDLWDLLWLD – only 2 wins in last 9 did come at home. 0-1-1-0-2-0 concded recently. Could offer some resistance this afternoon?
GOAL TRENDS – 56% overs at home. Opponents score first in 9/16 at home. Opponent leads at HT in 7/16 matches.Have failed to score in 4 of last 6.
STREAKS – no major streaks.
AWAY TEAM – past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team – Celtic – complacency?
RECENT AWAY FORM – DWLWWDWWWWLWDLL – 2-1 defeat to Motherwell and 3-2 defeat to Ross county shows, perhaps, complacency as noone really troubling the Bhoys at the top. Just like PSV today, Celtic have lost 2 consecutive away matches. Will they really lose 3 consecutive away matches, like Chelsea?
RECENT OVERALL FORM – WWLWWWWWWDWLLW – have scored and conceded in 7 of last 8
GOAL TRENDS – 9 overs in last 10. Failed to score in 3 only this season.60% overs away from home. Scored first in 11/15 away matches . Opponent has only led at halftime in 2 matches away.
STREAKS – Have scord in last 4 away and conceded last 5 away. Scored in last 11 overall.
CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS – complacency the watch word here. 2 defeats in last 5 for the Bhoys and 2 consecutive defeats away. I can see both teams scoring as St Mirren have ended the hoodoo of not scoring against Celtic. 4 in 2 now , albeit in Cup matches. I cannot trust Celtic at all. Sequencers will look at those 2 away defeats and think whether Celtic will do a Chelsea and lose 3 consecutive aways? Neutral goals bet for me I think today. CEltic are likely to score . Celtic have really avoided draws lately. Only 1 draw last 19
130pm – Aston Villa v Liverpool – 1.79 away
HEAD TO HEADS
15.12.2012 | PR | Liverpool FC | 1-3 | Aston Villa
07.04.2012 | PR | Liverpool FC | 1-1 | Aston Villa
18.12.2011 | PR | Aston Villa | 0-2 | Liverpool FC
22.05.2011 | PR | Aston Villa | 1-0 | Liverpool FC
06.12.2010 | PR | Liverpool FC | 3-0 | Aston Villa
29.12.2009 | PR | Aston Villa | 0-1 | Liverpool FC |
I did all the research for this match but it did not save. Villa tend to score and concede of late. Generally against top 8, only 1 win ( v Liverpool). Tend to lose and could concede heavily. Overs is the really strong Villa trend . have conceded in last 14 overall.
Livepool lost to Saints last time out. 2 consecutive defeats against a team who beat them 3-1 last time out – what are the chances of that? Overs is really strong rend for Liveprool recently too. They have only failed to score in 5 this season.
Away defeats have been by 2 or 3 – willVilla really score 3 again ?
Overs the possible call here with both teams having overwhelming overs trends. Both teams to score a possibility IF LIverpool dont revert to the clean sheets v bottom 3 away.

315pm – Veria v Kerkira – 1.5 home – DRT potential only
330pm – Ajax v NEC Nijmegen – 1.24 home
HEAD TO HEADS
19.08.2012 | D1 | NEC Nijmegen | 1-6 | AFC Ajax
19.02.2012 | D1 | AFC Ajax | 4-1 | NEC Nijmegen
27.11.2011 | D1 | NEC Nijmegen | 0-3 | AFC Ajax
17.04.2011 | D1 | NEC Nijmegen | 1-2 | AFC Ajax
04.12.2010 | D1 | AFC Ajax | 1-1 | NEC Nijmegen
02.05.2010 | D1 | NEC Nijmegen | 1-4 | AFC Ajax |
Both teams could score and Ajax could post a biggie. They’ve done it historically.
LEAGUE POSITION – 1st v 8th. Must win for Ajax with PSV only a point behind
HOME TEAM – -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team – ajax
RECENT HOME FORM – DWWWDLWWWWDDW – only 1 defeat at home v 4th. Draws v 6th and 7th suggests NEC might be competitive
RECENT FORM OVERALL – WWDWLWDWDWWW – the only defeat, 2 all season, v the same team ( 4th). Suggestion therefore that worse case will be a draw, and likely a score draw. 6 draws in 7 matches against 6th -10th inclusive. yes te anomoly thereanking for NEC!
GOAL TRENDS – 39% overs at home down I suppose to scoreing an average of 2 and conceding an average of 0.62 at home. Only conceded 1 in first half hour at home and conceded none in last 1/2 hour at home. Score first in 10/13 at home.
STREAKS – no defeat in 7 at home. Have scored in last 7 at home and last 9 overall.
AWAY TEAM – past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team – NEC
RECENT AWAY FORM – WWDLWWLLLLWWL – only 1 away draw . Have conceded 4 and 5 v top 4 teams away.
RECENT OVERALL FORM – DLDLLWWWLWLLL – all bar 1 win has come against 6th and below.
GOAL TRENDS – 54% overs away from home. Score first in nearly 1/2 of away matches. Only 2 clean sheets in last 17 matches.
STREAKS – 10 away without a draw and overall. Have conceded in last 5 overall.
CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS – Ajax have only lost home and away to 1 team. They have spanked today’s opponents 1-6 already but there tends to be a draw , score draw against teams around NEC’s home and away. Both teams could score today. NEC have conceded 4 and 5 away v top 4. Avoidance of a draw forNEC despite there being a number of score draws for Aja against teams near NEC.

19.01.2011 | Cup | Olympiakos Pireus | 1-1 | PAOK Salonica |
Tight matches in head to heads.
LEAGUE POSITION – 1st v 3rd – likely to be another tight affair?
HOME TEAM – -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team – Oly
RECENT HOME FORM – WWWWWWWWWLWW – superb form. Sole loss v 4th. The only occasion they conceded more than 1 goal at home.
RECENT FORM OVERALL – WWWWWLWWWWWW – 9 clean sheets in those matches. Potential for a win to nil? But PAOK historically tough to beat.
GOAL TRENDS – 67% overs at home. Scored in all matches this season.Have only failed to score 2+ goals in 1 home match this season v 2nd
STREAKS – 12 at home without a draw. Have scored in last 12 at home and last 26 overall. 3 consecutive clean sheets.
AWAY TEAM – past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team – PAOK
RECENT AWAY FORM – LWDDWLDWWLDDW – a little inconsistent. all draws away v 11th and lower. Unlikely we’ll see a draw this time?Lost 1-0 to 2nd, 4th and 2-0 v 6th. Away defeats were to nil.
RECENT OVERALL FORM – WWWDLLDWDWWWW – great recent form Tight matches home and away to top 4, 1-1, 2-1 win, 1-0 loss, 0-0, 1-0 loss.Scored and conceded ilast 4.
GOAL TRENDS – 46% overs away from home. No defeat in 7 overall.
STREAKS – as above
CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS – you know the stat. Oly have scored in all matches this season. If PAOK lose, it is likely to be to nil. Unlikely PAOK will draw away, that seems to happen exclusivbely away v 11th and lower. Oly tend to score 2 at home minimum. They scored 1 only v 2nd but that is not the norm.
