About Ambrose Value:

Ambrose Value comes from legendary racing tipster Garry Ambrose – he of over 28 years’ experience. He’s a self-proclaimed serious form student, and reportedly spends hours of trawling before making his selections.

The service only selects horses he considers of utmost value with the aim of regularly predicting big-priced winners.

The selections are either Win or Each Way.

The service was founded in May 2020, and there’s a strong history of impressive results, all extensively proofed on the Ambrose Value site.

The published results state nearly £4K of profit to date (from £25 stakes), with an average monthly profit of £151, an 18.6% ROI, 339 points profit and 63% of months being profitable.

My Review:

Our trial lasted a little over two months. During this period there was a total of seventy-three selections, twenty one of which were advised to win, with the remainder being advised each way.

The emails from Ambrose Value are no-frills, with just the selections given and no explanation. The odds were almost always easy to match, and each email came with screenshots from Oddschecker.

If the excitement of backing high-value horses is your thing, and you’re willing to suffer long losing runs as par for the course, then this service is one for you to consider…

The Results:

In our trial, of the Win bets only one selection managed to pass the post in first place, but of the Each Way selections three were winners – at 33/1 and at 16/1 (twice), with thirteen achieving a place at odds up to 40/1.

All in there was an investment of 131 points, resulting in a profit of 40.1 points, giving a ROI of 31.37%.  As you might expect with backing long priced selections there were several long losing runs, including two of twelve, so patience is needed if following this service.

But as stated above, if you like backing long-priced selections and have the constitution to weather the losing runs, then this service might be the one for you.

They’re transparent with their results, which you can view here.

Overall Summary:

The trial resulted in a profit, and we were left with the impression that Garry does indeed know how to spot the occasional big-priced winner – occasional enough to ensure the profits outweigh the losses.
