About Hanbury Winners:

Richard Hutchinson is the tipster behind Hanbury Winners, a recent addition to the market after his hugely successful and well-reviewed service Hanbury Racing.

Hanbury Winners is a spin-off service, borne from the research process for Hanbury Racing. In Richard’s own words: “During the research process it became evident I was finding winners at shorter prices that I just couldn’t put forward on the main service, so I just threw those away or had a bet for myself and moved on to another race.”

Thus a new service was born: ‘Hanbury Winners’. The aim is to provide an exciting and rewarding experience for their subscribers that delivers long term profits from their experts.

Selections are roughly 10/1 and under when advised and are sent at either 7.10pm or 8.10am – ten minutes after the Hanbury Racing main service. The recommended starting bank is 150 points.

A no quibble 30-day money back guarantee is offered against all their professional tipsters, which for the moment still appears since their creation, to be solely Richard & Garry. They state they are only going to have the very elite tipsters, so rather than flood subscribers with 100’s of tipsters they are ideally looking for their ‘Magnificent Seven’ pro tipsters across all sports. Elite tipsters are obviously like hens’ teeth! A 14-day trial costs £5.99 for a service costing £36.99 per month.

My Review:

Our trial lasted three months and the ‘winners’ are advised by Richard on a daily basis by email at 8.10 am. Odds advised are generally available from best odds guaranteed bookmakers at the time advised.

Normally there are 1-2 selections per day and very occasionally 3-4. Selections were originally a mix of win and each way, however this past month these have all been win selections to 2 points stakes.

Each way advices are normally 1 point each way.

The Results:

Our trial lasted 3 months as follows:

  • 106 selections at odds advised between 5/2 & 22/1;
  • 80 Win bets, ten winners at average odds 11/2, strike-rate of 12.5%;
  • 26 Each Way bets, four placed at average odds 12.5; strike-rate of 15.4%
  • Longest losing run: 27
  • Longest winning run: 1 for Win bets & two placed back to back once in three months.

All this resulted in a loss over the three months, excluding the £36.99 per month subscription, to a total of -68.24 points – including a couple of losing selections that appear to have been missed on the Megatipsters tracking spreadsheet. This is slightly less than half of the suggested 150 point starting bank.

The biggest draw-down during the three-month period was 88.9 points. Our review started with the longest losing run of 27, which for anyone taking a 14 day trial meant no winners!

There were another 14 consecutive losers mid-August into September which currently aren’t offset at frequent enough intervals by winners at odds sufficient enough for us to recommend.

Overall Summary:

Our trial was all about long losing runs. We suspect the losing run the service is on is the reason why the last month’s selections have been Win Only, in an effort to recover prior losses.

Nevertheless, the proofed set of results from Hanbury Winners, which you can see here, suggest that this service has enjoyed success previously.

The below is a table of results for the service, which suggests an all-time profit of 45.79 points.

Long losing runs are very much part of Hanbury Winners, with the hope that the successful wins negate all the losses. Alas, that didn’t happen in our trial, but the pedigree behind the service and the proofed results give us hope, and so this may be one to keep an eye on.
