James is the tipster behind Text Winner, sending an average of 45 tips a month to his members via email, on the Betting Gods members area and free mobile app.
Tips are sent at 8.00am (UK-time), Monday to Saturday. You are notified if there are no tips for the day. There have been 59.09% profitable months since James became a tipster, with a profit in 13 months out of a total of 22. Average odds since inception are at 6.38.
My Review:
During our 76-day trial there were a total of 22 days in which there were no tips sent. This, and the fairly lacklustre performance left us wondering if he’s floundering a bit.
Though perhaps it’s just a bad run? The trial did end with a small profit, which would barely have covered the subscription cost (£17 a month) and the published results on the Betting Gods website do show that James has bounced back from badly hit months before.
But surely we want better than this? Many of the tips seemed almost obvious selections, being favourites or second/third favourites, then the occasional maverick finding its way in too.
The Results:
Total Selections: 125 (77 Win only, 48 E/W)
Total Winners: 28 (4 of these were E/W bets)
Win Strike Rate: 22.4% E/W
Bet Success: 31.25% (Note: 2 of these selections had a negative return so discounting these from the “Success” calculation would equate to 27.08%)
Starting Bank: 150 points
Ending Bank: 153.451 points
Bank low point: Day 14: -4.875 points
Bank high point: Day 52: +6.951
Day 30 Bank: 151.084; ROI = 0.723%
Day 60 Bank: 146.951; ROI = -2.033%
Day 76 Bank: 153.451; ROI = 2.301%
Given the results this investment, although reasonably low, would not have been covered by the limited returns experienced during the review period.
Perhaps this one is worth further watching. The results in May 2022 were astounding, and the trial did end in a small profit, so let’s call this one a ‘Jury’s Out’.
