Selections for Sunday 23rd November 2014

I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Yesterday

14:30 UK Bayern Munich v Hoffenheim – 1.12 home – 4-0

15:00 UK Chelsea v West Brom – 1.22 home – 2-0

 17:00 UK Eibar v Real Madrid – 1.2 away -0-4

 18:45 UK Feyenoord v Dordrecht – 1.14 home – 2-0

Few worries yesterday and a couple of matches helped out by a red card.

Today

A few niggles today, Villareal look good but Getafe in head to heads keep it really tight. Spartak Moscow look good but the vast majority of their matches this season have been away – a quirk of the fixture list? So it’s tough to evaluate their home performances.

14:45 UK Plzen v Bohemians 1905 – 1.15 home – I expect an eventual Plzen home win, as usually happens in head to heads.Bohs have been tight away so this might be a last minute job, a la Feyenoord yesterday.

14:00 UK Napoli v Cagliari – 1.4 home – Napoli love welcoming cagliari to Naples and have historically scored 3+ goals. napoli have scored 2+ goals in 4 of their last 5 matches and that always gives you a chance, even after conceding. Only 2 wins for the away side this season means, probability wise, they are less likely to win.

I would normally be all over Roger Federer in his matches as he has had a rare old 2014, but there is a niggling back injury which allows Gael Monfils in, and against Tsonga today, Fed may struggle.
