About Consistent Profits:

Consistent Profits is a horse racing tipping service with an emphasis on horses with proven form running under ideal conditions.

John Burke is the expert behind the tips. He created the service to meet the perceived big demand for shorter-priced high-strike-rate selections.

John Burke is also the man behind the well-regarded and long-running Victor Value service (see our review here).

Where Victor Value is about big-value bets, Consistent Profits is more suited to the casual punter who wants regular wins, rather than waiting for big-priced value selections.

It also aims to be an ideal boost to the portfolio of anyone who wants to up their strike rate and ROI.

The average price of selections is 4/1 and you can see from the chart below that the reported profit has been consistent over nearly 4 years.

My 60-Day Review:

All bets are simple 1 point (£10) Win bets, and there are usually three bets a day, though occasionally only one or two, sent out early in the morning on the day of racing. Advised odds were generally easy to net before the off.

The tips are sent with accompanying analysis as to why the selections have been made. The average odds of the tips is 4/1. Many of you might not get overly excited by odds such as these, but past history suggests they do seem to result in what they’re meant to result in – consistent profits.

However, the results were initially poor, with 16 successive losing bets from day one of the trial, which was an irksome and deflating start. A look at published results prior to this suggested a long spate of bad luck too.

Nevertheless, thereafter the results took an upturn, and the trial did indeed end in profit…

The Results:

Please see this table of results recorded during our trial.

  • Starting Bank: 150 points
  • Day 20 Bank: 159.5 points
  • Day 40 Bank: 161.7 points
  • Day 60 Bank: 181.9 points

All returns calculated at the tipster’s quoted prices or SP if greater.

The longest losing run was 15; the longest winning run 2 (six times). In all, there were 29 winners from 141 selections (excluding non-runners), which gave a strike rate of 20.57%.

Overall Summary:

Despite a less-than-consistent start, our betting bank did grow by nearly 32 points during the trial, so there’s more than enough hope that consistent profits will actually be delivered. We shall continue to monitor.
